Comodo: Directly after an order has been placed through our web interface, you receive an e-mail containing a link to a Comodo website. On that site, you may choose the term and might have to fill in the e-mail address, which is then deposited with the certificate. Then you have to choose the encryption algorithm. The private key is generated by the browser (and solely CSR is sent off to Comodo). In a second step details about the certificate holder have to be given. After successful validation by Comodo you will receive the certificate. IMPORTANT: Please secure your certificate! Without the private key, your certificate loses its purpose!

Thawte and Symantec: After an order has been placed through our web interface, you receive an e-mail by either Thawte or Symantec containing an order summary specifically for your certificate. Please check the details you have given about yourself. On the websites of either Thawte or Symantec you has to type in CSR (Java) or let the Browser generate such.

GlobalSign: For GlobalSign there are two options.

Option 1: The private key is generatzed by GlobalSign -> Validation is carried out by PSW GROUP -> you receives an e-mail with a confirmation -> final mail for the public key.

Option 2: You have your own CSR and generate the private key by yourself -> Validation is carried out by PSW GROUP -> you receives an e-mail with a confirmation and the option to enter CSR -> final mail for the public key.

SwissSign: You receive an e-mail including a licence for the SwissSign ordering process. You can (like with GlobalSign) enter your own CSR or get it generated by SwissSign.

Certum: For the order of a Code Signing Certificate by Certum through our web interface you need your own CSR.
